Teresa DeJesus Gonzales

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Teresa DeJesús Gonzales, 82, of Grand Prairie passed away Friday, March 14, 2025. She was a devoted mother, beloved grandmother, and dedicated educator. She left this world peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and compassion. Teresa was a proud and selfless single mother who raised her wonderful daughters, instilling in them the values of kindness, perseverance, and strength. Her unwavering love and support shaped their lives, and she took immense pride in the women they became. As an ESL teacher, Teresa touched the lives of countless students, helping them find confidence in their voices and opportunities in their futures. Her patience, encouragement, and dedication made her a cherished mentor to many. Above all, she was a loving grandmother to eight beautiful grandchildren, whom she adored beyond words. Whether through warm embraces, shared laughter, or heartfelt advice, she made each grandchild feel deeply loved and cherished. Teresa’s legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known her. She will be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering devotion to her family, and the countless lives she impacted through her teaching and love. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave. Teresa is survived by her daughters San Juanita Estrada and her spouse Jose Manuel Salazar, Susan Lopez Berenjinataj and her spouse Mohammed Berenjinataj, Patricia Lopez Pompa and Veronica DeJesus Pelton-Escobar and her spouse Bonni Pelton-Escobar, grandchildren Daniel Cortez II and spouse Jena Cortez, Julian Martin Palafox, Bijan Lopez Berenjinataj, Shela DeJesus Burk and spouse John Wesley Burk, Jose Gabriel Gallardo, Shahin Ali Berenjinataj, Marissa DeJesus Gallardo, ten great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Claro Galvan and Amalia Quintanilla, husband Hector Martin Lopez, great-granddaughter Reyliyana DeJesus Pelton-Escobar and two brothers and a sister. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E. Main Street, Grand Prairie, Texas 75050 with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 10:00 am at St Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 2910 Corn Valley Rd, Grand Prairie, TX 75052 Interment will follow immediately at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens.
