Ruben Esparza

Ruben Esparza, born on September 28, 1966, in Plano, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on November 25, 2025, at the age of 59. He leaves behind a legacy defined by love, faith, and quiet strength. Beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Ruben was known for his warm heart, determined spirit, and the gentle way he supported and encouraged others. He had a natural gift for making people feel understood, valued, and cared for. Raised in the Plano and Garland area, Ruben found joy early in life through football and physical fitness. His passion for health grew into a lifelong habit that inspired him to coach family and friends, always motivating them to become the best version of themselves. Ruben married young and welcomed his first son, Paul Anthony Esparza, whom he loved deeply and later laid to rest in February 1987—a loss that forever shaped his heart. Years later, he remarried Christina Marie, and in March 1990, their daughter Angelic Esparza was born, bringing renewed light, purpose, and hope into his life. A dedicated and hardworking man, Ruben built a respected career as a machinist. His determination to learn and grow led him to earn an Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Technology in May 2009. Intelligent and creative, he enjoyed drawing, organizing, solving puzzles, and taking on anything that challenged his mind. He loved playing pool with his brothers, cooking his famous chicken tacos, and preparing the sub sandwiches everyone talked about. His ability to keep things clean, neat, and perfectly in order became one of his signature traits. In recent years, Ruben was blessed to live with his daughter Angelic and his granddaughter Arianna—his two greatest joys. He cherished every moment with them: playing with Arianna, teaching her life skills, and caring deeply for his “Mija” Angelic. These everyday moments became some of the most treasured memories of his life. Christina, Angelic, and Arianna—his “three Angels”—were his constant source of strength, comfort, and unconditional love. Ruben cherished his family dearly. He adored his sister Patricia and his brothers Tony, Pedro, Eddie, and Angel. As an uncle, he loved being involved in the lives of his nieces and nephews, always ready with a warm smile, a laugh, or a story to share. Family gatherings brought him life; being surrounded by those he loved was one of his greatest joys. After facing many challenges, Ruben found renewed direction and spiritual grounding through Straight Street Ministries, where he completed a nine-month program and studied Theology 101 in 2025. He loved the Lord with all his heart, mind, and soul. Whether reading Scripture, praying, watching teachings, or offering an encouraging word, Ruben lived his faith quietly yet powerfully—letting it shape his character, his choices, and his way of loving others. Today, we find comfort in knowing that Ruben is at peace in the presence of the Lord—reunited with his beloved son Paul Anthony, his mother Guadalupe Tijerina Esparza, and many loved ones who went before him. Though his passing was sudden and deeply felt, the legacy he leaves behind—of love, resilience, compassion, and unwavering devotion to family—will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Rest in peace, Ruben. Your life, your laughter, and your love will be remembered always. Visitation will be Monday, December 15, 2025 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E. Main Street, Grand Prairie, Texas 75050 beginning at 10:00 am until 2:00 pm with a funeral service immediately following. Burial will follow at Mountain Creek Cemetery, 2099 Hardy Road, Grand Prairie, Texas 75051 Ruben is survived by his daughter Angelic Esparza, granddaughter; Arianna Richard, siblings; Antonio Esparza, Pedro Esparza Jr., Patricia A. Esparza, Eddie Esparza, Angel Tijerina Esparza, mother of his daughter; Christina Marie. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Paul Anthony Esparza.
