Lorene Maxwell

Lorene Maxwell, 88, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, was called to her eternal resting place on August 13, 2020. She entered this world on October 28, 1931 in Gilmer, TX, and was the daughter to the late Jewel Irene Williams Wynne and the late Frank Wynne. Visitation: 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2020 in the Chapel of Calvary Baptist Church, 401 W. Church Street, Grand Prairie, 75050. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Lorene Maxwell was born and raised in east Texas. She would never lose the sense of being a country lady, enjoying hunting for arrow heads, sewing and genealogy research. She loved Alaskan Huskies and also loved the color of purple. Always the traditional mom, she was deeply involved in the life of her children. She was always in attendance at their sporting events, recitals, or school functions. Her yard was always the most beautiful in the area, with many beautiful flowers and fruit trees. Her spiritual life was of utmost importance. She was saved and baptized, and believed that all should come to know Christ. Her sense of humor could be described as dry. If she could speak at her own service, she might say, "its too hot for this!" In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Ernest Wynne. Also by her husband, Bill Maxwell in August of 2018. She deeply missed him, and will be buried beside him in Fort Worth. Survivors: children; James Williams and wife Charlotte, Donnie Williams and companion, Judy Conway, Gary Williams and wife Sandy, Linda Conner, Karen Snead and husband Michael. Grandchildren, including; Brad Williams and wife Linda, Tracy East, Brandon Williams, Davey Williams, Amber Brantley and husband Douglas, Jennifer Meng and husband Clayton, Brent Williams and wife Kayce Bullock, Amy Conner, Jayme Williams, Rob Williams and wife Lindsey, Joel Snead and wife Danyelle, Katelyn Brandt and husband Brad. Great-grandchildren; Brenden, Braden, Hayden, Sydney, Bailey, April, Chase, Rafe, Skylar, McKenzie, Xander, Camden, Cadence, Cohen, Carrigan, Kendra, Ben, Hannah, Hallie, Boston, Haylee, Piper and Silver, One great-great grandchild; Kolter.
