Judy Steward Todd

Judy Steward Todd, beloved matriarch, musician, and friend, exchanged this life on July 19, 2025, from her home in Plano, Texas to her home in heaven. Born in Dallas, Texas on July 3, 1943, Judy was raised in the southern part of Dallas County, where she cultivated her rich musical talents and deep faith, both of which she generously shared with her community throughout her life. A faithful church member, Judy most recently attended Heartland Church in Carrollton, Texas, previously known as Christ Temple in Irving. Her dedication to her church family was evident, as she served tirelessly as a organist, pianist, and also played the accordion, uplifting many through her music. Judy was not only a gifted musician but also a skilled cook, famously known for her exquisite gumbo. She will be fondly remembered for her kindness in distributing Jolly Ranchers to church children, spreading joy and sweetness wherever she went. In addition to her musical and culinary talents, Judy was an adept hairdresser, often assisting the ladies of her church with their hair, creating a welcoming atmosphere where laughter and camaraderie flourished. Judy leaves behind her cherished son, Joseph Todd III, her loving daughter, J'Nell Wimmer, and her devoted son-in-law, Michael Wimmer; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Judy was preceded in death by her husband of thirty years, Joseph Todd Jr; parents, Doretha Steward and J.T. Steward and a brother, James Nathan Steward. Her legacy of love, faith, and community service will continue to inspire all who were privileged to know her. Funeral services will be held in honor of Judy Steward Todd on Tuesday, July 29, at 1 pm at The Heartland Church in Carrollton, Texas. The family invites all those who knew and loved Judy to join in celebrating her remarkable life. A visitation will precede the service from 12 to 1 pm, allowing friends and family to pay their respects and share cherished memories. Burial with her late husband, Joe Todd Jr. will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas. Her loving spirit and harmonious presence will be profoundly missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
