Juan Moreno

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Juan Palos Moreno, who left us peacefully due to natural causes on March 11, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on January 6th, 1946, in Las Iglesias, Coahuila, Mexico, Juan was a dedicated family man, a hardworking provider, and a true friend to many. He moved to Grand Prairie from Mexico with the goal of a better life for his loved ones. Through determination and tireless effort he succeeded in building a future full of opportunity for his family, whom he cherished deeply. Known for his incredible resourcefulness, Juan possessed a rare ability to solve any problem, no matter how challenging. Though his formal education was brief, he was bilingual and had the skills and creativity of an engineer, designing machines for auto modifiers with remarkable expertise. His warmth and humor lit up the lives of those around him. He loved to sing at family gatherings, filling the air with music and joy. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he still found time to enjoy boxing matches and the classic western films he adored. Above all, Juan was a man defined by love, loyalty, and sacrifice-values that shaped his life. Juan devoted many years of his life to his craft until a work-related injury in 2005 prompted his retirement. True to his nature, however, he remained active, immersing himself in construction work and yard projects, all while enjoying the company of his best friend and business partner, Miguel Esparza. Juan is survived by his beloved family: his sons, Mario and Juan Moreno; his daughter, Carmencelia Moreno; daughters-in-law, Claudia and Marisela Moreno; son-in-law, Valente Rojas; and his cherished siblings, Bertha, Maria, and Guillermo Moreno Jr. Each of them carries a piece of his spirit in their hearts. Friends and family are invited to honor Juan's life and legacy during the following services: A public viewing will take place at Guerrero Dean Funeral Home on March 17, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location at 12:00 pm and a graveside service at Southland Memorial Park at 2:00 pm. Juan will be missed dearly, but his memory will live on through the stories and love shared by those who knew him.
