Edward Terrell “Bubba” Pack, 59, of Irving, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2023, at his home. Known for his kind heart and gentle spirit, Ed was a cherished son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Ed’s greatest joy in life was his daughters, who meant the world to him. They were not only his children but also his best friends. He embraced life with enthusiasm and made the most out of every moment. His love for his grandbabies knew no bounds, and he treasured the time spent with them. A man of faith, Ed found solace in his belief in a higher power. He now rests eternally with his heavenly father, Jesus, finding peace in the embrace of eternal life. During his time in Alaska, Ed discovered a deep love for the outdoors. The rugged beauty of the state captivated him, and he spent a decade enjoying all that Alaska had to offer. He was an avid guitar player, often improvising and creating beautiful melodies. Bubba's talents extended beyond music, as he worked as a cook in Coldfoot, Alaska, sharing his culinary skills with others. Family meant everything to Ed, and he held his siblings and extended family dear to his heart. Being a momma's boy, he had a special bond with his beloved mother, Ida "Nanny" White, whom he cherished deeply. Ed had a few simple pleasures in life. He delighted in snacking on jalapenos and salt, and his love for coffee was unwavering. Beef jerky was another favorite treat that brought him joy. Ed was preceded in death by his father, Benny Pack, as well as his grandparents: Pete and Marge Rutherford, Ivan Cohen, Floyd Pack, and wife Betty. He is survived by his daughters: Melisa Reyes, Veronica Reyes and wife Norma, Amber Reyes and partner Melissa, Kassandra Stubblefield and significant other Daniel Turner, Elizabeth Pack and significant other Victor Andrade, and Autumn Pack. Ed’s legacy lives on through his adoring grandchildren: Anastasia, Jocelyn, Harold, Alexis, Ayanah, Xeniyah, Asaiah, Elias, Julian, Sophia, and Haven. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Ethan and Mars; mother Ida "Nanny" White; Step mother Patricia Capps, brothers Mark Kracy and wife Ellen, James Pack and wife Lisa, Christopher Pack, and Daniel Pack; sisters Shelly Outlaw and husband Brian, Carolyn Conklin and husband Travis, and Tonya Buchan. Additionally, he is survived by a host of relatives and friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. A Celebration of Ed’s Life will be, 1 p.m. Saturday, November 18th, 2023, at Hope Irving Church, 1646 W. Irving Blvd, Irving, Texas 75061 As we bid farewell to Edward Terrell "Bubba" Pack, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched. His kindness, love, and zest for life will forever be remembered. Though we say goodbye for now, we hold onto the hope of meeting again in eternity.
