Charles "Bobby" Robert Miller

Charles Robert Miller (known to family and friends as Bobby), 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2026, in Grand Prairie, Texas, following a brief illness. Bobby was born on June 21, 1955, in Lubbock, Texas, to the late Charles Garlin Miller and the late Evelyn Sarah (Rowland) Miller. He is survived by his loving children-Heather Putnam and her husband Mike Putnam; Chad Miller; Shaun Miller and his wife Jordan Miller; Joshua Miller; Christopher Miller and his wife Amanda Miller; and Matthew Miller. He was also a proud grandfather to Marah Burgos and her husband Edy Burgos, Colby Putnam, Evi Miller, Madison Miller, River Miller, Maddox Miller, and Olivia Miller. He leaves behind his sister Cynthia Brown, a nephew Aaron Almond, and the mother of his children Donna Wilson. For twenty-seven years, Bobby ran the family tire shop inherited from his father, and in the last twenty years, he gave his time to UPS. In his free time, he dominated his children in tennis, embarrassed them in chess, and won any and every silly bet he took from them. His real genius was in his art. Whether painting, drawing, or working wood, he was a deftly talented artist. Each brushstroke, each shadow shaded by his thumb, each cut to the heart of the wood demonstrated his reverence for God's Creation. Bobby was a servant of the Lord and lived by His example, with love and grace and charity. He offered a helping hand and shared the power of the Word of God with anyone who needed it. Two of his favorite scriptures provide needed support for those grieving. "The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies." Psalms 18:2-3 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9 Bobby Miller was a force in this life and his passing will not diminish his reach. A Celebration of Life will be held for close family. Friends and colleagues are invited to share condolences and memories on his Tribute Wall.
