Bozie "Bo" "PeePaw" Wells

Bozie "Bo" "Peepaw" Wells, 83, a native of Texas, and a resident of Nemo, passed away peacefully, January 26, 2024 in Granbury, Texas. He was born February 21, 1941, to the late Little Berry Wells, and the late Edna Mae Tittle. Bo was a devoted husband, a committed veteran, and a dedicated professional, leaving behind a legacy of love and service. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis Wells for 53 years; their union having begun in 1970. A proud veteran, Bozie served in the US Army as a Military Policeman, showcasing his exceptional skills as a sharpshooter and marksman. After his military service, he worked for Freeze and Nichols, where he played a pivotal role in the groundbreaking of the DFW airport. His contributions further extended to Brown and Root during the construction and groundbreaking of the Comanche Peak nuclear power plant in Glen Rose, Texas, as well as working for BNSF. During his spare time, you could find him volunteering at the Pappas Food Pantry in Glen Rose. His commitment to his community and his faith were evident through his 10-plus years as a member of Grace Baptist Church in Glen Rose, Texas, where he found solace, community, and purpose. Bo will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his country, and his community. His legacy of service and love will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Jacqueline Jennings, and JoAnn Hale; son, Charles Nicolls; and son-in-law, Rick Goforth. Bo is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Phyllis Wells of Nemo; daughter’s, Cindy King and husband Dennis of Grand Prairie; Penny Goforth, of Glen Rose; son, John Wells and wife Aubry of Granbury; grandchildren, Joni, Michael, Aaron, Robin, Nicole, Xavier and Regan; 21 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren; sister, Billie Blake of Mesquite; brother-in-law, Calvin Crittenden and wife Margaret of Seven Point, and a host of nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 10am, 1 hour prior to the funeral service, at Grace Baptist Church, 1103 N.E Bernard St, Glen Rose, Texas 76043. Pastor Dennis Moore, officiating. Burial will take place Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 11:30am, at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211, Rev, Dennis King, officiating.
