It is with heartfelt sadness and warm remembrance that we announce the passing of Betty Jo Martinez, beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and dedicated nurse, who departed this life on July 4, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on December 30, 1966, in Prince William County, Virginia, Betty embraced life with boundless love and compassion and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.A devoted caregiver, Betty spent her professional life in the medical field as a nurse, where her gentle heart and unwavering patience left a lasting impact on countless lives. Her nurturing spirit extended far beyond her profession; she was a loving mother to her children, Melissa Lopez-Arnold, Preston Arnold, Elizabeth Arnold, and Kristen Wright. She cherished the role of grandmother to her grandchildren; Preston, Hector, Nancy, Angel, Erlin, Tatiana, Gitana, Kimberly, Johathan, Faustino, Bethany, Bruno, Liliana, Gabriel, Jamal, Jamila, Ayiana; siblings, Virginia Shelton, Donna Talley and William Warring, forming connections that filled her life with profound joy and purpose. Betty experienced the highs and lows of life, having been widowed twice. After her second marriage, she spent two years living in Mexico, where she found happiness and fulfillment-a time that remains dear to her heart. Upon returning to the United States, she settled in Dallas, Texas, where she continued to nurture her family and pursue her hobbies, which included a delightful passion for collecting frogs. In her memory, a public viewing will be held at Guerrero Dean Funeral Home on July 14, 2025, from 5 to 8 pm, providing an opportunity for loved ones and friends to pay their respects. Family will host a time of sharing at 6:00 PM. Betty Jo Martinez was a beacon of love and resilience, whose legacy will continue to shine through the lives of her children and grandchildren. We invite all who knew her to celebrate her life and share in the laughter and memories that she so graciously bestowed upon us.Betty was preceded in death by: Preston Arnold, Arturo Martinez-Gutierrez, Charles Warring, Betty Barb. She was preceded in death by her parents; Charles A. Warring, Betty Lu Barb Warring; a sister, Kathy Majjum; husbands, Preston Arnold and Arturo Martinez-Gutierrez.
