Kathy Webb was born on September 12, 1944 in Wichita Falls, Texas, the daughter of the late Jodie Hobbs Matthews and the late Viola May Riddle Matthews. Early in her life, while visiting the Red R Coffee Shop, she would meet a young man by the name of Webb. It was love at first sight for him. He asked her to marry him that very day. Kathy served in church ministry all of her adult life. She and her husband, Billy Don Webb, founded Bible Believer's Church (now Bible Believer's Assembly of God). She became an Ordained Minister, and would become active in local and foreign ministries including Celebrate Recovery. Her love for the Mission Field would see her take many travels, including a trip to Russia. She loved singing, and often served as song leader for services. She worked many years as a hair-dresser. When Lady Bird Johnson was close, she would ask for Kathy to do her hair. She received a BA Degree from Conerstone Bible College, and would spend twenty-five years teaching at BBA and Shady Grove School in Grand Prairie. She would also fill as a substitute for GPISD. In later years, her life revolved around children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It was often described as keeping the roads hot. Her passion was serving as a wife and confidant for her husband, proved by the fifty-four years of faithful marriage. Survivors: husband, Rev. Billy Don Webb, children, Jeffrey Shawn Webb, Shannon Lynch and spouse Mark, David Webb and spouse Michelle, Valerie Reckart and spouse Ray; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sherrie Smith and spouse Randall and Linda Daniels and spouse Clay. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Harry Matthews, Lonnie Matthews, Diane Matthews and Janet Cassidy.
