Ellen Carole Martin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ellen Carole Brock-Martin went to be with our Lord and Savior on October 24th at the age of 79. Ellen Carole was born March 13, 1941 in Bronte, Texas. She was the daughter of Vernor Hiram Brock and Nedra Arlene Bell Brock. Graveside Committal: 9:30 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2021 at DFW National Cemetery. She married Bob Martin on September 2, 1974. The love they shared was one of a kind. They enjoyed traveling to visit family and visited some of the most beautiful places of the world After Bob retired they settled in St. Augustine, Florida to be close to the beach they both loved. She was known by her family as a wonderful cook with a beautiful smile and a welcoming home. She always offered an ear and shoulder to cry on and was a second mom to anyone who needed one. She initiated many of our family gatherings including a lobster fest, crepe extravaganza, and delicious fondue. Ellen Carole is survived by her husband, Robert Baird Martin and her daughter, Sherry Phillips. Also surviving is her brother, Victor Hiram Brock and his wife, Karen of Grand Prairie, Texas and sister-in-law, Judith Brock of Eunice, New Mexico. She was also survived by eight nieces and nephews: Kay, Debbie, Michael, Brent, Missy, Lori, Daniel, and Leslie. Ellen Carole was preceded in death by her parents Hiram and Nedra Brock, her brothers Bobby Brock and Jerry Brock and her sisters Patricia Wrinkle and Mary Sims. Due to the rise of COVID cases we will be postponing Ellen Carole's Memorial to a later date. Memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice.
