Yesenia Maria Mendez

Yesenia Maria Mendez, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt & cherished friend, passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 48. Yesenia was born on June 16, 1976, in Newark, NJ, but spent her formative years in Grand Prairie, TX, where she moved at the age of 10. A proud graduate of South Grand Prairie High School, class of 1995, Yesenia embodied strength, creativity, and compassion throughout her life. As a devoted mother to her children, and a doting grandmother, Yesenia poured her heart and soul into her family. Her love was evident in the way she nurtured her children and grandchildren, often delighting them with their favorite meals and baked treats. A great cook, she found joy in the kitchen, where her passion for baking brought comfort and happiness to those she loved. Beyond her culinary skills, Yesenia was also known for her creativity and craftsmanship. She enjoyed refinishing furniture, transforming pieces into beautiful works of art. Her strong spirit and determination left an indelible impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Yesenia is survived by her loving children, Angel Reyes, Evelynne Yesenia Reyes, Daisy Daniela Mendez, Cindy Miah Mendez and Cesar "CJ" Mendez, Jr.; grandchildren, Armando Daniel Ozoa and Isreal Ace Ozoa; parents, William Molina and Ildefonsa Molina; siblings, Alex Salazar, Diego Salazar, Milena Martin, William Molina and Francisco Molina. Her legacy of love, strength, and creativity will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to share in her life. She was preceded in death by her infant, Cesar Mendez, Jr. A visitation will be held in honor of Yesenia Maria Mendez, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and the cherished memories they hold dear on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a service at 6:00 pm, Pastor Christopher Martin officiating. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Friday, May 23, 2025 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E. Main Street, Grand Prairie, Texas 75050 with burial following immediately at Mountain Creek Cemetery, 2099 Hardy Road, Grand Prairie, Texas 75051 We take comfort in knowing that Yesenia's love will endure through her children and grandchildren, who carry her spirit in their hearts. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave to others.
