https://www.facebook.com/becky.cannon.268152 Sara Davila, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, in Grapevine, Texas. Sara was born on April 15, 1935 in San Anotnio, TX and proceeded in death by her beloved husband Rev. Alex Davila; her parents Rev. Pantaleon and Anastacia Molina and siblings. She graduated from a private Christian school, Valley Baptist Academy and married the love of her life Rev. Alex Davila on November 15th, 1958 in Weslaco, TX. She continued her passion for education at Wayland Baptist College graduating with her Associate's Degree, and received her certifications in nursing and teaching at Baylor University, laying the foundation for her lifelong faith and ministry to her family and community. She faithfully served in ministry along side her husband as they pastored churches throughout New Mexico, Arizona and Texas for over 50 years. Sara was an accomplished professional, proudly serving as a former nurse, kindergarten teacher, missionary and pastor's wife. She embraced her roles sharing her strong Christian values and commitment to helping others throughout her life. She is survived by her 4 children, Dorene Sauceda, Joshua Davila, Rebecca Cannon (spouse, Brian Cannon), and Elijah Davila (spouse, Shelley Davila), 14 beloved grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and 3 siblings. Sara's warmth, compassion and love for the Lord will be profoundly missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. To honor Sara's life, friends and family are invited to attend the public viewing and memorial service, which will be held at Indian Hills Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, TX on May 26th, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Following, a burial service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on May 26, 2026, at DFW National Cemetery. It is an opportunity for loved ones to pay their respects and offer condolences to the bereaved family. The loss of Sara Davila is felt by all who knew and loved her. May her memory be a blessing. May she rest in eternal peace.
