Ronald Francis Deshesky, Sr

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald Francis Deshesky Sr., beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. Ronald, a proud 20-year veteran of the United States Navy, transitioned peacefully from this life on March 11, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on January 5, 1951, in Wilks-Barre, Pennsylvania, Ronald grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, where he embraced the values of hard work and dedication that would define his life. As the oldest of two children, he fostered a deep bond with his sister, Nancy Bohrer, and together they shared cherished memories of their childhood. Ronald's commitment to service led him to a successful career in the Navy, where he learned the importance of camaraderie and discipline. Following his retirement, he settled in Grand Prairie, Texas, where he continued his industrious spirit working at Southwest Machine Manufacturing as a silk-screen operator until his health no longer permitted. Beyond his professional pursuits, Ronald was an avid outdoorsman, relishing the time spent hunting white-tail deer and pheasant. His passion for nature and the great outdoors was a reflective aspect of his lifestyle, showcasing his appreciation for the simple joys of life. Ronald is survived by his loving spouse, Georgia Sue Woody Deshesky, and their two sons, Ronald Deshesky Jr. and Mike Deshesky; granchildren, Keaven Deshesky, Romeo Deshesky, and his fiance' Celsea Love, Rylie Deshesky, Mariah Deshesky, Breanna Deshesky, Amber Presswood and Kirsten Comparetto; numerous nieces and nephews. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, forever etched in the hearts of those who knew him. A celebration of Ronald's life and military honors will be held at the Dallas Fort-Worth National Cemetery, March 31, 2025, 3:30 pm. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring his memory and the rich tapestry of experiences that made up his life. In this time of mourning, let us remember Ronald not only for the service he rendered to his country but also for the warmth he brought into our lives. May he rest in eternal peace. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, George Deshesky, Mary Travis Deshesky and son Jonathan Deshesky.
