Roberto Ramon, Sr

Today we remember the life of Roberto Ramon Sr, a man who embraced hard work and family values. Born in Robstown, TX on June 10, 1949, he was the 5th child in a family of 8, brought into this world by his beloved late parents Jesus Ramon Sr. and Ameilia Sanchez Ramon. He peacefully passed away at his home on Friday morning, August 23, 2024. Transitioning from Robstown to Grand Prairie in 1975, Roberto embraced change and challenges with resilience and a hopeful spirit. His journey was marked by his commitment to his work, his family, and his love for life's simple pleasures. Having spent a year in the US Marine Corps before his honorable discharge, Roberto held a deep respect for his country. An avid sports enthusiast, he cheered for the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers with unwavering loyalty. His passion for good music was evident in his love for listening and dancing to Tejano and Conjunto music that brightened his days In his 54 years of marriage, he stood by his devoted wife Gloria Ramon, raising their son Robert Ramon Jr. He treasured each moment with his loved ones, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. He dedicated many years of service to various warehouses, notably retiring from Dart Warehouse at the age of 72 after dutifully serving in the maintenance department. As we honor Roberto's memory, we invite friends and family to join us in celebration of his life. A Public Viewing will take place at Guerrero Dean Funeral Home on August 27, 2024, 500 E Main Street, Grand Prairie, TX, 75050 from 5 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial: 11:30 am Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 2910 Corn Valley, Grand Prairie, TX, 75052 on August 28, 2024. Committal Service will be at 1 pm at DFW National Cemetery. Survivors include his loving wife, Gloria Garcia Ramon; son, Robert Ramon Jr and spouse Rosanna; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and three brothers and three sisters. Roberto Ramon Sr. will be fondly remembered for his dedication, resilience, and love that he shared with all who knew him. May his spirit continue to dance and find joy in the melodies of eternity. Roberto was preceded in death by his parents Jesus Ramon Sr and Amelia Sanchez Ramon and a brother Amador Ramon.
