Lucille Agnes Wearden Beck Montag of Carrollton, TX. was born Victoria, TX on March 1, 1941 to Elva Jean Girshefski Wearden and Robert J. Wearden Sr. She passed away on June 21, 2018, after a short illness over the last three months. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E Main Street, Grand Prairie, TX, 75050. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2018 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1705 E Peters Colony Road, Carrollton, TX, 75007. Inurnment: 2:00 p.m. Monday at DFW National Cemetery. Survivors include her husband Joseph “Joe” Leslie Montag, to whom she was married for 42 years; daughter Lucille Rebecca Beck Dryden (Greg) of Marion, IA; granddaughter, Jennifer Dryden Mangas (Ben); great-granddaughter, Penelope Mangas; grandsons, Clayton and Timothy Dryden; sisters Jean Graham(Frank), Majorie (Mike) Meneley, Marian Rosse all of Houston; brothers Frank Wearden(Gloria) of Victoria, TX and Robert Wearden of Colorado Springs, CO; brother-in-law James R. Montag and wife Nancy; a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Richard F. Beck. Lucille was a Texan. She was a graduate of Nazareth Academy(1958) and attended Victoria College and the University of Houston, Victoria Campus. Lucille married Richard F. Beck on October 17, 1964, who died on March 20, 1970. On June 5, 1976, she married Joseph Montag, moving to Carrollton, TX three months later. She was a real estate broker for 31 years beginning her career with Charles McKee Realtors in 1977, later affiliated with Ebby Halliday Realtors from 1979 through 2007. She has been an independent Real Estate Broker since 2007. She was a great supporter of her husband in his charity work with Lions Clubs International, Carrollton Evening Lions Club, and Challenge Air for Kids and Friends. She would always be there to assist with these charities along the side of her husband. She was a member of the Guadalupe Victoria Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution since 1968, James W. Fannin Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas since 1963 and the Major James McGregor Chapter of the Colonial Dames of the XVII Century and formerly of the Michael Upchurch Chapter of the Colonial Dames of the XVII Century since 1976 and the Daniel Braman Chapter of the Daughters of the American Colonists. She was a very warm person who loved and cared for others. She had the gift of hospitality.
