Born on November 28, 1966, in Montemorelos, Nuevo León, Mexico, Laura peacefully departed this world leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion. As the second of six children, Laura carried the vibrant spirit of her Mexican heritage throughout her life. She married Gerardo Perez Alvarado, her steadfast partner for 35 years, and together they built a home filled with laughter, joy, and the comforting aroma of home-cooked meals. Laura was a gifted homemaker, known for her culinary delights, particularly her famous fried fish that brought smiles and gladness to her family's gatherings. Laura's passion for nurturing extended beyond her family to the beautiful plants and flowers that adorned her home. A true green thumb, her garden flourished under her tender care, a reflection of her nurturing nature and love for life. Laura's heart was as expansive as the skies over the beaches she loved to visit. She took joy in traveling, always seeking new shores and adventures. Time spent with her family on vacations resulted in a tapestry of cherished moments-each trip etched in the minds of her loved ones. Laura cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her husband Gerardo, her children: Irving Perez Carrera, Tania Shea, and Fatima Perez Carrera, along with beloved daughter-in-law Liandra Perez and son-in-law Troy Shea. A devoted grandmother, she adored her grandchildren-Matthew, Marilyn, Madelline, Scarlet, and Santiago-with whom she shared countless precious moments, creating memories that will forever echo in their hearts. A woman of quiet strength and enduring grace, Laura leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to flourish within her family. Her mother, Maria Juana Salazar Guerra, and sister Martha Carrera Salazar, along with a network of relatives and friends, will hold her memory close, celebrating the vibrant life she lived. Friends are invited to attend a visitation and Prayer Service on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E Main St, Grand Prairie, TX, 75050 from 5 to 8 pm.
