Juanita M. Bustos, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, in Grand Prairie, Texas, at the age of 82. Born on December 10, 1942, in Mission, Texas, Juanita was a treasured member of her community who dedicated her life to caring for others. Friends are invited to a Visitation on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E Main St, Grand Prairie, TX, 75050. A private Committal will occur at a later date. Juanita was a devoted nurse aide, having achieved her CNA certification, and spent her career providing compassionate care to the elderly and disabled. Her nurturing spirit and kindness touched the lives of countless individuals, and her legacy of selflessness and love will forever be remembered. As a mother, she is survived by her son, Luis Cavazos, and daughter-in-law, Brandy Cavazos. She was a proud grandmother to Anthony Cavazos, Andrew Cavazos, Matthew Minard, Nino Flores, and Elizabeth Minard, who filled her life with joy and laughter. Juanita also leaves behind her cherished siblings: brothers Ruben Mercado and Marcos Mercado Jr., as well as sisters Elizabeth Mercado, Norma Mercado, and Julia Villalobos. Juanita had a passion for hobbies that allowed her to unwind and connect with her loved ones. She loved coloring and enjoyed doing word searches, activities that brought her joy during quieter moments. She also cherished spending time at the lake with her son and grandchildren, creating lasting memories in nature. Cooking was another way she expressed her love, famously preparing tamales that her family fondly recognized as the best. An avid reader, Juanita found great comfort and inspiration in the Bible, and her daily prayers were a testament to her faith and the wishes she held for everyone in her life. She enjoyed watching her favorite novelas with her grandson Andrew and nurtured the bond she shared with her beloved puppies, Panda and Mommas. Juanita M. Bustos was truly a remarkable woman with a heart of gold. She prioritized the well-being of others, always praying for those around her and putting family and friends first. Her warm spirit, resilience, and unwavering love will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Juanita's family will honor her life and legacy through a celebration of her memory, details of which will be shared in the coming days.
