Denny Brown

Harold Dennis Brown, known to family and friends as "Denny," passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, at the age of 80. Denny was born on April 10, 1946, and was a resident of Mansfield, Texas. Visitation: 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Grand Prairie, TX where Services will be conducted at 12:30 Thursday, June 25, 2026. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Park. Denny is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda Brown; his three children, Rodney Brown and wife Theresa, Shelly Hornbuckle and husband Dave, and Becky Halfmann and husband Rance. He was a proud grandfather to Justin and wife Olivia, Maddie, Caleb, and Hailey. He is also survived by his sister, Brenda McGahey and husband Dan, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Fannie Brown. Denny proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he was a member of the U.S. Air Force Marching Band. His service reflected the dedication, discipline, and love for music that would remain a central part of his life. Those who knew Denny best knew that his greatest loves were his Lord and Savior, his family, and Southern Gospel music. Throughout the years, he shared his faith through song as a member of the Eighth Street Quartet and Brothers for Christ. Denny found great joy in spreading the Gospel and encouraging others through his music ministry. Beyond his love of singing, Denny cherished every opportunity to support his grandchildren. Whether at ball fields, volleyball games or other events, he was a faithful presence in their lives. Nothing brought him greater pride than watching his grandchildren grow and succeed. Denny's life was marked by unwavering faith. Through numerous health challenges over the years, he consistently demonstrated trust in God's plan. His steadfast belief, positive spirit, and enduring faith served as an inspiration to all who knew him. He faced life's trials with grace and confidence, knowing that God was in control. Denny leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, devotion to family, and a heart dedicated to serving the Lord. While he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of the Savior he loved and faithfully served throughout his life.
