George David Rollins

George David Rollins June 29, 1951 - April 11, 2024 George David Rollins was born June 29, 1951 to Sol G. Rollins and Ruby Sutton Rollins in Arkadelphia, AR. He grew up in Arkadelphia. Was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Graduated Arkadelphia High School in 1969. He went on to attend Henderson State University studying Business. He belonged to Theta XI fraternity where he made many friends. He moved to Dallas and became employed as Armed Transport Security by Tiffany & Co. George was trusted to transport highly valued jewelry and stones to various cities in the United States. Later, he married and he and his wife, Peggy, owned and operated a Bar and Grill in Dallas. They were also wholesalers for Trade Shows and travelled the Central US. Along the way, he became the Manager of the manufacture and sales of cargo/utility trailers. A job he truly loved. Talking to people and the camaraderie with his co-workers, who became lifelong friends. After Retirement, his time was spent enjoying his favorite football teams, Dallas Cowboys and Arkansas Razorbacks. George also loved the beach, especially South Padre Island. He lived his life his way and to the fullest! George loved people and never met a stranger. He'd talk to anybody and next thing you know they were friends. He was always willing to help anyone and give advice, whether asked for or not. "He knew a thing or two, cause he'd seen a thing or two." So he said. George went to his reward the early morning of April 11, 2024. George is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Peggy Nelson Rollins; 1 brother, James Shipman; 1 nephew, Jimmy Shipman; 1 niece, Angela Burgess. He is survived by 4 sisters, Linda Smith and Mary Collie of Arkadelphia, AR; Sola Burgess and Sarah Braquet (Dana) of Hampshire, TX.; 4 nephews and 5 nieces who thought he was "Bigger than Life." Also, numerous great-nephews and -nieces. Uncle Dave was everybody's buddy. So easy to love. George is also survived by his loving partner, Beverly Payton and her family, especially the grandchildren, who called hm 'Pops.' They were so special to him, and he loved them all, "His Knuckleheads." No public services are planned and Cremation, as per his request.
