Frederick John Patterson

Frederick John Patterson, 83 father, grandfather and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at an Arlington hospital. Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2010 S Carrier Parkway, Grand Prairie, Texas, 75051. He will be buried beside his wife at Ben Lomond Cemetery in North Ogden, Utah. John Patterson was born December 30, 1935 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the middle child of 3 children born to the late Leslie Turrell Patterson and the late Mildred Lucille Wakeman Patterson. He grew up in Roy, Utah, graduated from Weber High School. He would also serve an enlisted time in the Army National Guard. His married Laurene Budge on July 27, 1955, they were married for 58 years, she preceded him in death on Dec. 11, 2013. Frederick moved to Grand Prairie in 1965. He began working in the defense industry, working for LTV Aerospace and Defense, Vought, Loral and Lockheed Martin. He retired in 1998 from Lockheed Martin after more than thirty-three years of employment. He is survived by his children; Michael Patterson and his spouse Gloria, Craig Patterson and his spouse Judy, Chris Patterson and his spouse Robyn, Amy Rasmussen and her spouse Curtis, Susan DeMill and her spouse Wayne, Jolene Patterson, Jennie Camphuysen and her spouse Adam and Annette Wood and her spouse Seth. Also by grandchildren; Steven Patterson (Karla) Michelle Willis (Matt) Melissa Fullmer (Robert), Melanie Erickson (Randy), Charles Patterson (Dana) Andy Patterson (Candice), Rory Patterson (Abbie), Conner Patterson (Lindsey), Cale Patterson (Brielle), Luke Patterson (Mariana), Hannah Martinez (Tony), Madilyn Patterson, MacKade Patterson, Saedryn Sagers (J.W.),Crusoe Patterson, Taggart Patterson, Nathaniel Patterson, Lauren DeVard (Joshua), Tanner Rasmussen (Sarah), Jenna Anderson (Ryan), Kelly Storts (Devin), Hyrum Rasmussen, Zachary Rasmussen, Jakob DeMill, Porter DeMill, (Monica) Gracie DeMill, Carson DeMill, Raistlyn Camphuysen, Caiden Camphuysen, Rowan Camphuysen, Creed Camphuysen,Rylan Camphuysen, Emery Wood, Henley Wood and Alec Rasmussen (Hannah). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laurene and brothers, James and David.
