Esmeralda Russell

Esmeralda Russell, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 58 on January 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in Arlington, TX. She was born on March 8, 1965, in Dallas, TX, and was the youngest of three children. Esmeralda was raised in the community of Oak Cliff, where she formed deep connections and cherished memories. Esmeralda had a zest for life and a passion for collecting shoes, purses, and jewelry. Her impeccable fashion sense was evident in her extensive collection. Not only did she have a keen eye for style, but Esmeralda was also a talented in makeing personalized shirts and especially creating and designing for family reunions She also loved making personalized stickers for vehicles, leaving a lasting imprint on those she loved. Aside from her creative pursuits, Esmeralda was an avid fan of 70's music. Nothing brought her greater joy than singing along to the nostalgic tunes that filled her home. Her enthusiastic spirit and love for life were infectious, bringing smiles to the faces of all who knew her. Esmeralda will forever be remembered and dearly missed by her devoted husband of forty years, Marc Russell, who shared a lifetime of love and laughter by her side. She was a loving daughter to her parents, the late Tom Garcia and the late Hortencia Garcia, who instilled in her a strong sense of family values and compassion. Esmeralda's legacy lives on through her two daughters. Valerie Campos and husband, Fernando, and Crystal Lawson and husband Edgardo Morales. Esmeralda was also blessed with two loving step-children, Nicholas Alvarez and wife Nadia and Lakiesha Alvarez Ruiz, who embraced her as their own and brought her immeasurable happiness. Also by thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many friends and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Luciano Luis Garcia, Tom Garcia Jr, Anna Duran, son, Kyle Lonewolf "Casper" Russell, and granddaughter, Nevaeh Destiny Lawson. The fond memories of Esmeralda's vibrant personality and infectious laughter will forever be treasured by her family and friends. Her resilience, grace, and unwavering love through her sickness will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Funeral services for Esmeralda Russell will be held on January 20, 2024, at 11:00 am at Guerrero Dean Funeral Home, 500 E Main Street, Grand Prairie, Texas, 75050. Prior to the service, a public viewing will be held on January 19, 2024, from 6 to 8 pm at Guerrero Dean Funeral Home, where friends and loved ones can come together to pay their respects and celebrate the beautiful life she lived. Esmeralda Russell may be gone from our sight, but she will forever remain in our cherished memories. May she rest in eternal peace.
