Edward Louis Crowley, 41, of Mesquite passed away August 23, 2024. Visitation: Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E Main St, Grand Prairie, TX, 75050 where Funeral Services will follow. Burial at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6300 S R L Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75232. Edward "Eddie" Louis Crowley, affectionately known as "Bubba," has been preceded in death by his cherished family members: his "Mamaw" Betty Arlene Chapman, "Papaw" Jesse Elsworth Chapman, his cousins Simon Timothy Cox Jr., Christina Kay Waldron, Amy Nadine Groves, and his beloved mother, Rhonda Lynn Rex. He is survived by his devoted brother, Kevin Lee Rex; his loving sister, Jessica Amanda Lynn Rex; and his cherished children, Bryan, Evan, and Cadence Crowley. As Eddie embarks on his journey to reunite with loved ones in Heaven, we reflect on the vibrant spirit that left an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew him. From a young age, Eddie had an extraordinary talent for brightening every room he entered. His presence was a source of immense joy, with his exceptional humor and spot-on impressions, especially his beloved Forest Gump, leaving everyone laughing and uplifted. His family fondly remembers and will deeply miss his protective nature, always ready to defend and care for those he loved. Eddie's love for his children was profound, and his greatest wish was to be a significant part of their lives. Though he faced significant mental health challenges, the last three years of his life were marked by a courageous battle for sobriety. During this time, Eddie began to reclaim his true self-compassionate, loving, and commendable. He took responsibility for the pain he had caused, seeking to make amends and reconnect with his children. He pursued his long term passion with comedy by giving stand-up comedy a try and also played softball for several seasons, all in search of a fulfilling and joyful life. Beneath the struggles, Eddie was a good man with a deep capacity for love, a sincere desire for happiness, and a wish to heal the wounds caused by his past. To know Bubba was to know a man who longed for genuine connection, to love and be loved, and to find meaning in life. As we honor Eddie today, we remember the true essence of who he was and the joy he brought to our lives. We pray for peace and healing for those who were affected by his struggles and hope that they find solace in the memory of the loving and joyful Eddie. May God embrace him with open arms, recognizing the goodness and light within his soul, and reunite him with those he has missed. May his life be celebrated for the love and laughter he shared with us all.
