Daniel Roy Lehrman

Daniel Lehrman, 63, "good and faithful servant", slipped from this earthly bonds into life eternal on Monday morning, February 16, 2015 at his home in Grand Prairie surrounded by his family. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E. Main Street, Grand Prairie. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Eighth Street Baptist Church, 705 Skyline Road, Grand Prairie, Texas, 75051, Pastor Jordan Tew officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens. Daniel was born on April 15, 1951, the 2nd of 4 children born to the late Raymond Robert Lehrman and Bobbie Jo Smith Lehrman in Waco, Texas. At a young age, he would marry his soul mate, Mary Frances Wingrove and they would move to the Dallas area to be near his in-laws. Daniel was a mechanic by trade and the owner B and L automotive for several years. He had also been an employee of Graff Chevrolet in Grand Prairie before working and retiring from Shoppa's. An avid outdoors-man, Daniel enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a skilled builder, and could often be found in one of his work-sheds. He was a great cook, with friends claiming he had enough skill to be a chef. His greatest joy came from serving others. Friends recall his tireless service to his God and church, displayed in his involvements at Eighth Street Baptist Church. His services included those of Sunday School Superintendent, Bus Ministry Captain, Kingdom Kids Director and assisting with the sound system. More than anything else, he will be remembered for his unfaltering love for Fran, his wife and companion of forty-four years, and devotion to his children and grandchildren. Survivors: wife, Frances "Fran" Wingrove Lehrman; children, Robert Lehrman and his spouse Amy, Kristie Lehrman Patten, Kim Lehrman Cannon, Staci Lehrman Williams; grandchildren, Bryan Patten, Renea Dial, Taylor Patten, Macy Lehrman, Johnathan O'Connor, Justin Williams, Alyssa Williams, Makayla Williams, Daniel Cannon, Ryan Cannon; great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Dial, Christopher Dial, Kinsey Patten; mother, Bobbie Pruitt; siblings, Neta Wiethorn and her spouse Curtis, Kay Wade and her spouse Steve. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Bard.
