Carlos Contreras Saenz

Carlos Contreras Saenz, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 91 in Grand Prairie, Texas. Born on May 7, 1934, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, Carlos was the beloved son of a close-knit family and embraced his rich Hispanic heritage throughout his life. Carlos dedicated his career to Murmer Corp as a machine operator, where his diligence and strong work ethic earned him the respect of his colleagues. Even after retirement, Carlos remained an active presence, taking on part-time jobs and never shying away from hard work. He was meticulous in nature; a fondness for cleanliness defined his life, and he frequently ensured that everything around him was in order. His home was often filled with the comforting aroma of fresh coffee brewing, a reminder of the warmth he brought to those he loved. A devoted family man, Carlos cherished his role as a father Evelia Saenz and Carlos Saenz Jr. and delighted in the joys of being a grandfather to Briana Chapa, Juan Chapa, Kayla Lopez, Lorenzo Saenz, and Carlos Saenz III. He loved taking care of his grandchildren, often driving them to school and indulging them with treats, a testament to his generous spirit and readiness to spoil those he adored. His great-grandson, Xavier Saenz, was a special light in his life as well. Carlos was also a loving brother to Juan, José Luis, and Neto Saenz, and sister Maria Saenz, holding a prominent place in their hearts. Together, they created a familial bond that would last a lifetime, filled with laughter, love, and shared memories. A public viewing will be held in Carlos's honor on July 16, 2025, at Guerrero Dean Funeral Home from 5 to 8 pm. Following the ceremonies, Carlos will be cremated, allowing his spirit to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. As we remember Carlos Contreras Saenz, we will celebrate not only the life he led but also the love he shared. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion, hard work, and the simple joys of life - one that will forever resonate in the lives he touched. Carlos was preceded in death by his parents, Melesio Saenz and Maria Louisa Contreras; his spouse of thirty-seven years, Beatrice Saenz; and his twin sister, Evelia Saenz
