Brenda Sue Speaks

Brenda Sue Speaks, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, passed away November 10, 2023, at the age of 60. She was born on December 7, 1962, in Dallas, Texas, and was a proud native of Grand Prairie. In keeping with Brenda's wishes, a celebration of her life will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E Main Street, Grand Prairie, TX, 75050. Following the service, Brenda's cremains will be scattered with her family members that have preceded her in death. Brenda was known for her warm heart, infectious laughter, and compassionate spirit. She had a deep love for her family and took great joy in being a devoted wife to her husband Billy Speaks Jr. Together, they shared a love that lasted more than forty years, and was the envy of many. Brenda's maternal instincts shone through her role as a mother to her cherished sons, Billie Speaks III and Brandon Speaks. Her greatest pride and joy came from being a doting grandmother to her grandchildren, Billie Speaks IV, Courtney Speaks, Ace Speaks, Tessa Speaks, and Braydon Speaks. Growing up in Grand Prairie, Brenda attended Grand Prairie High School, graduating with the class of 1981. After settling in Cleburne, Texas, she became an active member of the community, a member of Landmark Baptist Church, spreading kindness to all those she encountered. Brenda's love of country and gospel music was unwavering, with George Strait and Mercy Me among her favorites. She shared her passion for beauty through her adoration of roses, finding solace and tranquility in their delicate petals. Friends and loved ones will remember Brenda for her unwavering faith, contagious laughter, and genuine love for others. She will be deeply missed by her surviving relatives, including her loving husband Billy Speaks Jr., sons Billie Speaks III, Brandon Speaks, her grandchildren, her brother Ray Wright Jr., her sisters, Mitzi Pederson, daughters-in-law, Tia Speaks and Sarah Speaks, sister-in-law Rachel Wright, and her brother-in-law Kevin Pederson. As we mourn the loss of our dear Brenda, let us take comfort in the memories we shared, the love she bestowed upon us, and the legacy of kindness she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace, forever in our hearts.
