Alia Terese Morgan

Alia Bergevin Morgan born October 24, 1971 in Denver, Colorado passed away at her home on October 15, 2017 surrounded by her husband Heath Morgan, her son Kyle Morgan and mother Carol Fortino. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E. Main Street, Grand Prairie, Texas 75050. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Freetown Road Church of Christ, 1038 Freetown Road, Grand Prairie, Texas 75051. Alia was preceded in death by her father Lewis Elmer Bergevin and is survived by her husband Heath Morgan, son Kyle Morgan, Mother Carol Fortino, Sister Kara Carreon, Brother Tony Bergevin, Brother Chad Matejek, step daughters Patrizia and Dawn Morgan. Alia was raised in Pueblo Colorado by her mother and father, Lewis Bergevin and Carol Fortino (Bergevin). She Graduated from East high school in 1990 with many of the people she still calls friends to this day. Alia married her Husband Heath on November 2, 2002. They have one son Kyle Morgan who was born February 8,2005. Alia and family relocated to Grand Prairie, Texas in May of 2005. Alia being the free spirit and loving person she is took no time in making new friends and making people feel like family. She always was willing to lend a hand (even if it were Heath’s), an ear to listen or a heart to share. It did not matter to Alia what was going on, if there was a friend in need she would do everything in her power to be there for them. Her love and caring that she showed to her friends (family) was shown in return as they stood by her bed, supported, and helped fight her battle until the end! Alia had a couple different places of employment where she always excelled at her work for which she has received many awards. Her career finally landed her at Wells Fargo which she decided that was her calling. From day one on the job until her last day she would always come home with a smile on her face and express how much it was not a job and how she looked forward to going back each day. Nothing would keep her from going in to work. It wasn’t the tasks that kept her going but the love she had for the friends in her office and the love they showed her. They were a continuous source of love, caring and support for everything she was fighting and she made it known. The only thing Alia loved more was being a mother! Alia was an amazing Mom! She was always involved in Kyle’s school, sports and whatever activity he had going. You could always find her there cheering him on and encouraging him to do his best; lifting him up when it didn’t go well and assuring him there will be bigger and better opportunities yet to come where he would excel. Even in the later times when she was too ill to get up and see him off to school she would always call him to the room and go over his daily check list and motherly inspection to make sure he was ready for his day. Alia the “Wife”… Words on a page cannot even begin to describe the wife that Alia was. She was the most understanding, forgiving, loving and nurturing woman that could be. The memories we share will live on forever. She was an inspiration in the fight she endured in not giving up; to the wisdom in “I wouldn’t do that if I were you”! In all my, I mean her husbands, crazy ideas, plans, inventions or whatever she was always there for support. Not once did she say “I told you so” … “See!?” Maybe… but never I told you so! Our love here may have been cut short, but she has giving me enough love last a million lifetimes, and it will live on for all of eternity…. S.H.M.I.L.Y.
