U. M. Gonzales

December 18, 1946 - February 28, 2022

U.M. "Vicente" Gonzales, 75, a native of San Benito, Texas and long-time resident of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022 in Irving, Texas following a lengthy illness. Visitation: 2 until 5 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E Main Street, Grand Prairie, Texas, 75050. Vicente Gonzales was born on December 18, 1946, one of ten children, six sisters and four brothers, born to the late Wenceslado Gonzales and the late Enriqueta Morales Gonzales. He was raised in San Benito. He graduated from Cornerstone Christian School. Vicente worked many years as an aviation welder and mechanic, retiring in 2015. He loved to grill, go out to eat, and spend time outdoors. He was a hard-working man who provided for his family very well. He was a selfless, giving person. He enjoyed telling jokes and making people laugh. He was full of wisdom and experience that he passed on. Survivors include his wife of forty-four years, Maria Pavia Gonzales; children, Priscilla Ann Mendez and spouse Armando, Kimberly Ann Gonzales and spouse Allyson, Jose Manuel Gonzales, Gilberto Gonzales; grandchildren, Armando, Andrei, Alexavier, Michael, Melissa, and other grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Canelo, who saved his life.
