April 21, 1940 - October 3, 2021
Patricia Diane Wagner, 81, a devoted servant of God, was called home on Sunday, October 3, 2021, in Carrollton, Texas. Services: A visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Heartland Church, 2020 Nazarene Road, Carrollton, Texas, followed immediately by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. Patricia was born April 21, 1940, in Wichita Falls, Texas, one of five children raised mostly by a single mother. Though her beginnings were simple and very challenging, that would not define the rest of her life. She met and married Eugene Francis Wagner in Wichita Falls in 1956, where he was stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base. They began their life together, moving to Irving, Texas in 1969. In Irving, Patricia quickly joined and became very active in church, beginning at First United Pentecostal Church, which then became Christ Temple, later to be renamed as Heartland Church. She was a lifelong Sunday school teacher, and an avid member of church lady’s groups. Her children fondly remember her spending hours making peanut brittle as a church fundraiser. It was this dedication and unwavering faith in God that she made sure was passed on to her children. They will always remember her devotion to her family, her sense of humor and a saving grace on this earth. Patricia loved to travel and never turned down a trip with family or friends. She and Eugene visited more than 25 countries in their 65 years of marriage. She never knew a stranger and to know her was to love her. Her beautiful smile and loving spirit provided the perfect example of God’s love for us. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, service and devotion to God and family. In addition to her parents, Merrill and Myrtle Bevering, Patricia was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Jimmy Bevering. Survivors: Husband, Eugene Francis Wagner; children, Alan Wagner and spouse, Robbie, Joy Wagner, Angela and spouse, Jon Reichle, Patti and spouse, Jerry Moody; grandchildren, Jonathan and Justin Reichle, Jeremy Moody, Lindsay and spouse, Mark Rowe, and Ty Wagner; great-grandchildren, Courtney Stanton, Hayden and Ailin Moody, Kinsley and Adalynn Rowe and Rebekah Reichle; sisters, Linda and spouse, Joe Hopkins, and Patsy Wogram. In lieu of flowers, her memory may be honored with a gift to Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
