Lillian Hortence Dodson

Lillian Hortence Johnson Dodson, 74, entered into the joy of Heaven on Friday, April 17, 2020. A private family committal will be celebrated. A public Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date. Lillian Hortence Johnson Dodson was born on March 22, 1946 in Seguin, in Guadalupe County, Texas, the 5th of 7 children born to the late Benjamin Franklin Johnson and the late Leola Rasberry Johnson. She was raised in New Braunfels where she Graduated from High School. She would attend college in Austin and San Antonio, earning a degree as a nurse. She would expand her experiences, becoming a travel agent and an employee at DFW Airport. She would work for the Hudson Group, combining her skills in retail. Lillian was a faithful member of Baptist Temple in Grand Prairie. Her gentle smile and kind spirit will be deeply missed. Survivors: siblings, Thelma Fielder, Erma Phillips and spouse Lawrence, Ruth Johnson Batie and spouse Larry, Gloria John Johnson Earls, Joyce Lylers Briggs; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, mary Louise Muckey, Grace Cunningham and Benjamin Johnson Jr.
