Juan Antonio Torres

May 23, 1956 - April 16, 2020

Juan Antonio Torres, 63, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on April 16, 2020 in Arlington, Texas. Juan was born on May 23, 1956 in Colorado City, Texas, the son of Antonio P. Torres and the late Francisca Mendoza. Juan served as an Alter Boy at St. Anne Catholic Church and later joined the US Army. He enjoyed listening to Tejano Music and loved all kinds of dancing. When time allowed, he enjoyed spending time at the casino. He had a great love to all of his family. They were the most important part of his life. A private visitation will occur on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home. Burial: DFW National Cemetery. Survivors: wife, Louisa Torres; daughters, Lisa Gomez, Linda Longfellow; step-children, Tina Rodriguez and Joseph Rodriguez; grandchildren, Britni Thrasher and spouse Logan, Miranda Gomez, Jada-Mia Longfellow, Aniyah Sumpter, Elijah and Jayden Richardson and Nicholas Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Amelia Hope Thrasher, Ian Thrasher, Lillianna Thrasher; father, Antonio P. Torres; siblings, Marjorie Garcia and spouse Robert, Eddie Torres, Mary Arredondo, Jesus Torres and spouse Irene, Lorrie Torres and spouse Larry Whatley; several nieces and nephews, mother-in-law, Nicolasa Ruiz, brother and sister-in-laws, Carlos and Anna Chavirra, Frank and Gabby Ruiz, Cindy Ruiz, Felix and Gabby Ruiz, Jessica and Ray Nevil, Lenore Ruiz, Paul, Michael and James Ruiz. He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, George Torres. Juan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
