MSgt Charles Winston Dahn USAF Ret., 82, resident of Hood County, entered into eternal life on Monday evening, January 20, 2020 following a brief illness. Celebration of Life: 11 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2020 at Triple Cross Cowboy Church, 3470 Lipan Highway, Granbury, Texas, 76048. Committal service with military honors will follow on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 1:45 p.m. at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Triple Cross Cowboy Church or the Hood County Animal Shelter. Charles Winston Dahn was born on November 10, 1937 in Cleburne, Texas, the son of the late Frank Henry Dahn and the late Minnie Lee McMullin Dahn. He was a graduate of Trimble Tech High School and would also receive an Associates Degree from East Texas State University. Charles would join the USAF, serving more than twenty-eight years, originally as a Tactical Aircraft Technician, finally rising to the rank of Master Sergeant. At the completion of his time served, he was an Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent. After retirement, he would remain active in several areas. His next careers were selling cars and driving his 18 wheeler truck across country for 14 years. He loved traveling, boating, baseball, new cars, yard work, and his precious dogs. He also loved to cook, especially for his wife and grandchildren. He is survived by his spouse, Bettye Jane Criswell Dahn; children, Debbie Podsednik and husband Tommy, Cynthia Raley and fiance' Chris Rankin, Kyle Kimbrell, Jimmy Boyles and wife Dana, Barry Boyles and girlfriend Dasa Etheridge; daughter-in-law, Kathy Dahn; son-in-law, Tom Major. Also by grandchildren, Jeff Dahn and wife Becky, Heidi Podsednik, Christina Raley, Kris Dahn, Cassandra Barrett and husband Reid, Matthew Raley and wife Felicity, Madison Kimbrell, Caitlin Kimbrell; great-grandchildren, Madison, Adeline and Jeffrey. Also by his beloved dogs who will miss him greatly; Patch and Sammy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Marty Dahn and a daughter, Kimberly Major.
