Ada June Lemley Ball, 92, faithful servant of Christ, loving mother, adoring grandmother, caring sister and true friend, passed from this life to her eternal reward early Wednesday morning, January 15, 2020. Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Eighth Street Baptist Church, 705 Skyline Road, Grand Prairie, Texas, 75051 where funeral services will be conducted at 11. Burial will follow beside her husband at Southland Memorial Park. Ada June Lemley Ball was born on June 3, 1927 in Morgantown, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Ralph Lemley and the late Grace Mundell Lemley. After graduation, she would be invited on a blind date with the late Raymond Richard Ball. In 1950, they would marry and spend the next sixty-three years together, moving to Grand Prairie in 1955. Raymond and June would become members of Eighth Street Baptist Church in 1960, where they were both active in the church ministries. June would play the organ and piano, teach young children in Sunday School, work Vacation Bible School or any other job that needed to be fulfilled. Her main priority in life was taking care of her husband and daughter. Immaculate would be the best word to describe her home. She was a wonderful cook, known for her spaghetti, vegetable soup and homemade pizza. She enjoyed working with ceramics, painting and playing the piano. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Kay Bentley and her husband, Rev. Dave; granddaughters, Kristen Anderson and her husband Mike, Holly Alvarez and her husband Ruben; great-grandchildren, Caden, Peyton, Laney, Bentley; sister, Mary Madeline Alvarez; nieces and nephews including, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Alvarez, Mr. and Mrs. Rusty Alvarez, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Alvarez, Mrs. Ralph Cale, Mrs. Barbara Boggs, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Ball, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Ball and Allyson Ball.
