Burl Glenn Foust, 58, died Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at a Dallas hospital.
Burl Foust was born May 5, 1951 in Arlington, Texas, the son of Ernest Leonard Foust and the late Bobbie Lou Carey Foust.
Burl would attend schools in Arlington, working as a young man at his father's bar-b-q restaurant, Ernie's Bar-B-Q. He would then join the US Army where he would serve faithfully, including a tour in Vietnam.
After his discharge, he would return home and begin working as a printer, of which he would do for the next 20 years. He would eventually start working as a general landscaper, continuing until the time of his death.
Burl was a generous man. He was a faithful supporter of various charities, and believed in giving a helping hand. Though never wealthy himself, he always believed in sharing what he had with others.
In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Foust.
Survivors: daughter, Kristy Bush and her husband Trent; grandchildren, Talon and Kylie Bush; father, Ernest "Ernie" Foust; brother; Ernie Foust.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 East Main Street, Grand Prairie, Texas, 75050. A private family burial will occur at Mims Cemetery in Jefferson, Texas. |
