Leandro "Andrew" Olivo, 91, a retired ranch foreman, died Thursday. December 31, 2009 in Arlington, Texas.
Andrew was born February 27, 1918, one of ten children born to Valentine and Isabel Olivo in Mexico. As a child, Andrew's family would move to Falls County and the Rosebud area where he would become active in agriculture, becoming a ranch foreman for many years.
In 1980, he would move to Grand Prairie where he lived until the time of his death. Mr. Olivo was an active man who loved being outdoors and working on any project around the home.
Survivors: daughters, Delia Olivo, Mary Ballard and her husband Terry, Gina Lopez and her husband Abel; grandchildren, Maria Gonzalez, Rebecca Otero, William "Bill" Ballard, Cynthia Lopez, Michael Ray; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Ruben Oliva; sisters, Santos Olivo, Mary Morales, Susie Camacho and Minnie Ramos.
Visitation: 12 until 9 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2009 with a celebration of his life at 7. |
